We are grateful for the continued commitment of the Friends of the Library members and patrons that make all our support of the library possible. If you are not already a member, please consider becoming a member by completing the form for that purpose available in the bookstore.
Seymour’s, the used bookstore at the Ponte Vedra Beach branch of the St. Johns County Library System, is open six days a week, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The bookstore offers fiction, non-fiction, childen’s books, classics, DVDs, puzzles, and more at reasonable prices. Seymour’s is staffed by loyal volunteers who will help you find what you are looking for. All materials are donated by members of the community. The donation box is located inside the library lobby. For large donations, please stop by the store on either Tuesday or Thursday in the early afternoon and the store clerk will direct you to the donation drop off area. Please note that Seymour’s does not accept damaged materials, magazines, textbooks, dictionaries, or encyclopedias.
Your donations will serve the library, the bookstore and the community. The Friends of the Library has raised over a million dollars for the library in the last 25 years. This money was raised through memberships, book sales, and Seymour’s Bookstore. These funds have been used to build our community room, construct a new entrance to the library, purchase new furnishings, create a teen area, and buy computers for the children’s area. In addition, we provide each department of the library with an annual budget to purchase particular materials such as books, craft materials, games, software, or any item they might need for their children and adult programming. The FOL also provides the music and speaker series for the library which is free to the community.
